Stephanie Wallace

Volunteer Stephanie Wallace How long have you been @ CWC?
I've been volunteering at CWC for two years and four months! I started in the REP (Raptor Education Program) in August of 2015 after working in the Clinic for a year.

What shift(s) are you on?
I currently work on Sundays with the REP.

Do you have a field of study (past or present)?
I graduated from OSU with a Bachelor's in Zoology and a Bachelor's in Fisheries and Wildlife Sciences.

Are you employed outside of your CWC volunteer position?
I work full-time at the OSU Beaver Store on-campus.

What is your favorite part about volunteering at CWC?
My favorite part of volunteering is getting to see so many different types of animals and being educate the public of their importance!

Do you have a favorite or most memorable patient (past or present)?
My favorite patient was a barred owl who was very feisty with the volunteers and would often try to make a break for it during medication time!

In the REP, my favorite bird to work with is named Morgan and she is a sparred owl which is a hybrid of a barred owl and spotted owl.

What is something that your shift may not know about you?
I used to hate birds!

What book is currently on your nightstand?
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!

What music is in your car right now?
Green Day's live American Idiot album.

Where are you from?
I'm from Redmond, Oregon.
