Did your ex-partner, boss, or neighbor make 2022 really difficult or did your loved one make you feel on top of the world? Upgrade your donation to our personalized option, and we’ll create an individualized video message of your insect, rodent, or veggie being fed to one of our animals!

Our wildlife patients and ambassador animals are regularly given enrichment to keep them stimulated both mentally and physically while in care. Insects and rodents are a normal part of these animals’ diets, in captivity or the wild. While in our care, we try to replicate this as much as possible for the best possibility of success in returning to the wild. Insects and rodents are an integral and unforgettable part of the earth’s ecosystem. A donation made in your honor will help protect all species big and small.

Our Ambassador Animals consist of 11 Birds of Prey and the vast majority require rodents to be a part of their natural diet. Our animal educators would love to be included in this fundraiser, so we hope you support us in providing our birds with tasty treats.

Insects are chosen dependent on species: cockroaches, mealworms, waxworms, crickets, slugs, etc.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will my recipient receive their digital certificate?

Certificates will be emailed on February 14th.

Can the certificates be sent anonymously?

Yes! The Donor’s loved one or not-so-special someone will receive a digital Valentine’s Day Certificate and a custom message if the Donor adds their loved one or not-so-special someone’s email address. You may sign your name on the custom message if you would like them to be notified of their sender.

What type of animals will be participating in Bugs & Hisses?

We are a Wildlife Rehabilitation Center and we regularly see new patients every day. Wildlife patients may include, songbirds, birds of prey, reptiles, and small mammals. Our 12 ambassador animals will also be included in this Valentine’s fundraiser. Special Features may include Dyami, our Bald Eagle, Penny, our American Kestrel, Bo, our Barn Owl, and many others!

Do we feed live rodents?

No, our rodents are ethically sourced and frozen upon arrival.

When is the last day to submit an order?

All orders must be submitted by February 13th at 11:59 PM.
