Wildlife Rangers Education Summer Camps Program
About: Our week-long camps immerse campers in the richness of wildlife! These themed camps provide a detailed exploration of the topics at hand. Several camps include an optional overnight camp out! See below for a list and details of this year's upcoming camps.

Camp Hours: 9am to 4pm

Generally $225 per child.
Pre/post care available. $5 per hour/per child.

Wild About Wetlands - ***WAITLIST only*** email camp@chintiminiwildlife.org to be added to the waitlist.
June 24 - 28 (Ages 7-9); 9am to 4pm
What's in the water?! During this camp, young explorers will spend a week scooping into the Chintimini pond to find tadpoles, salamanders, and baby dragonflies. We'll also dive into learning about things unseen by the naked eye with microscopes and water testing! We'll explore different freshwater habitats such as vernal ponds, streams, and rivers to learn all about water and the creatures who live in it.

Ecosystem Investigations ***only 4 spots remaining***
July 8 - 12 (Ages 7-12); 9am to 4pm
From big to small, we'll explore it all! Turn over logs, scoop the pond, and roam the forest in search of many wiggling, slithering, sliding, and hopping invertebrates. We will examine the ground right below our feet to discover what these creatures eat, where they hide, and how they escape hungry predators. We'll practice ?following animal tracks, searching for signs of wildlife, and looking out for different forms of animal communication. We will examine real animal artifacts and learn about the unique adaptations local wildlife has evolved to help them survive.

Feathered Friends
July 15 - 19 (Ages 7-9); 9am to 4pm
They soar, sing, hunt, and glide. From tiny hummingbirds to magnificent owls, campers will love learning all about birds! Campers will become honorary ornithologists (bird scientists) for a week and learn what it means to be a bird. Prepare to dissect pellets from our resident birds of prey and see what raptors are eating!

Wild Wings - Predators of the Sky
July 29 - August 2 (Ages 9-12); 9am to 4pm
From Dragonflies to Bald Eagles, campers will learn about the different kinds of winged predators. They'll learn the the ecology of predator and prey interactions from tactics used for the predators to successfully hunt to prey avoiding getting eaten. Prepare to dissect pellets from our resident birds of prey and see what raptors are eating!

Wilderness Survival - Sessions 1 & 2
August 5 - 9 & August 12 - 16 (Ages 9-12); 9am to 4pm
*Includes overnight campout on Thursday

Sharpen your wilderness survival skills at Chintimini Wildlife Center this summer! Campers will learn what it takes to survive in the wild: Preparing shelters, navigating, making tools, finding wild foods. We'll play fun outdoor games and end the week with an overnight campout on Thursday to test our new skills!

Cancellation Policy: Chintimini Wildlife Center must receive notification of cancellation two weeks prior to the first day of any program to receive a full refund. A 50% refund may be available for cancellations received one week prior to the first day of any camp session. Please send cancellation notifications to camp@chintiminiwildlife.org.
