Bree Hinricher

Volunteer Bree Hinricher How long have you been @ CWC?
Over two years

I'm on AM and PM shift five days a week, plus one night shift a week. I am a Raptor Trainer in the Raptor Education Program (REP).

I will be graduating from OSU next term with a bachelors in Animal Science.

Are you employed outside of your CWC volunteer position?
Currently not.

What is your favorite part about volunteering at CWC?
How to choose?! I love the people I work with and the birds as well. If I had to choose - there is no better feeling than the joy of flying our Education Birds.

Do you have a favorite or most memorable patient (past or present)?
I don't work with the patients - but I also can't choose a favorite ed bird - they're all my favorite each in their own way.

What is something that your shift may not know about you?
For all the meat and fish we deal with on a consistent basis, my shift may not know that I've been a vegetarian for over a decade.

What book is currently on your nightstand?
Shatterglass by Tamora Pierce.

What music is in your car right now?
Christmas music, of course!

Where are you from?
Ventura County, California
