Pip the Red-tailed Hawk

Pip came into the Chintimini Wildlife Center’s rehabilitation clinic in the summer of 2020 severely emaciated and with an injured eye. With the help of the rehab staff, he quickly gained the weight back, but the trauma to his head meant that he would not be able to take care of himself in the wild. Pip joined our Raptor Education program in 2021. He is very quirky and easily became a favorite for both staff and volunteers! He is affectionately known as Pipsqueak, Pip-pip, and many other nicknames. Pip loves playing with his toys and is learning to be a part of our off-site presentations.
